Who is X Scale
We partner with brands that are tired of churning through agencies and are ready to get serious about hyper-scaling to 8 and 9 figures with proven systems.
About The Role
We’re looking for a growth-minded Ecommerce Web Designer/Developer to join our team. You’ll be working directly with our Growth Strategists to bring data-backed ideas to life through beautiful, functional, and fast storefronts. Your work will directly impact 7–8 figure brands by improving user experience, driving conversions, and enabling scale.
This isn’t a role for someone who just wants to "make things look pretty." You’ll be solving real problems with real impact—on real businesses.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Design and develop high-performing Shopify storefronts optimized for speed, mobile UX, and conversions
- Translate CRO strategies and growth goals into clean, scalable frontend experiences
- Build custom features and components using Liquid, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and third-party app integrations
- Optimize product pages, cart flows, and checkouts to reduce friction and boost AOV
- Set up and maintain integrations with tools like Klaviyo, Rebuy, Postscript, and Triple Whale
- Implement and manage A/B tests, analytics tracking, and behavior monitoring via Hotjar and GA4
- Create and maintain internal SOPs, design systems, and code templates to support scalable execution
- Collaborate in live workshops and intensives, rapidly prototyping changes and deploying them in real-time
YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF...
- You’ve got 6+ years of experience designing and developing on Shopify
- You know how to build custom themes and components without relying on bloated templates
- You’re comfortable working across Liquid, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and modern dev tools
- You’re fluent in best practices for CRO, performance optimization, and responsive design
- You’ve worked closely with marketing/growth teams and understand how design impacts KPIs
- You love clean code, clean design, and fast turnarounds
- You thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities
- You’re open to relocating to Charlotte, NC in the future and want to be part of building something big
